The faculty members of the Department of Environmental Engineering at Marmara University participated in a field trip to explore Istanbul's water culture and historical infrastructure. During the trip, the ongoing restoration works at Eğri Kemer were examined on-site, and information was gathered about the extensive efforts being made for the preservation of water structures.
Another stop on the visit was the Water Civilizations Museum, which provided significant contributions to the understanding of water management and historical heritage, offering participants a broad perspective. The trip concluded with a visit to ISKOM, which provided an opportunity to learn about modern approaches to water management in Istanbul.
We would like to extend our sincere thanks to Hakan Okuyucu, Ayten Bostancı, and Yasir Vural for their valuable contributions in organizing and guiding the trip.
